Our Board of Directors

 

LÄPPLE AG acts as a management holding company and is headed by two members of the Management Board. They are responsible for determining and implementing the strategic direction of the Group and all its subsidiaries.

Stephan Itter assumes the role of Spokesman of the Management Board (CEO). As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Veronika Zelger is responsible for the Group's finance department.

The Management Board is supported by the Extended Management Board. This includes the Managing Directors of the subsidiaries LÄPPLE AUTOMOTIVE, Oliver Wackenhut, and FIBRO, Steffen Schröder.

Leadership in transition

 

The Management Board of the LÄPPLE Group shapes the strategic development of the company with a clear focus on transformation, technological progress and sustainable growth. Together with the subsidiaries, it actively drives change – with vision and responsibility.

At the heart of this is a management culture based on trust, dialog and a willingness to change. The Management Board creates the framework conditions to promote innovation, make targeted use of technologies and open up new perspectives.

As the Group's external representative, the Management Board stands for an attitude that combines entrepreneurial responsibility with a passion for technology – in line with our self-image: we love technology.

Stephan Itter

CEO, LÄPPLE AG

Stephan Itter has been part of the LÄPPLE Group since 2017 and is now Spokesman of the Management Board. Following his previous role as CFO, he is very familiar with both the financial and strategic levers of the company. His many years of experience in the automotive supply industry flow directly into the further development of the Group.

He values open, reliable communication and direct exchange within the company. With a clear eye for market changes and a flair for practical solutions, he continuously drives the LÄPPLE Group forward – with a focus on stability, innovation and entrepreneurial development.

Veronika Zelger

CFO, LÄPPLE AG

Veronika Zelger has been Chief Financial Officer of the LÄPPLE Group since July 2024. She is responsible for all of the company's financial matters – from finance and controlling to risk management. She uses her experience from other industrial companies to further develop structures and make the Group's financial management fit for the future.

Her management style is clear, structured and goal-oriented. She values transparency in processes and close cooperation across divisional boundaries. With analytical strength and an eye for the essentials, she creates the basis for sustainable decisions and stable framework conditions.

Oliver Wackenhut

CEO, LÄPPLE Automotive GmbH

Oliver Wackenhut has been at the helm of LÄPPLE Automotive since 2011. As a former trainee and student at LÄPPLE, he knows the company from his own experience - from the store floor to management. This deep connection characterizes his management style: down-to-earth, approachable and in close contact with his team.

He actively contributes his extensive expertise from the automotive supplier industry and body construction to the strategic work of the extended Management Board. With a practical perspective and a clear view of operational challenges, he shapes the further development of the LÄPPLE Group - with a focus on efficiency, quality and technological progress.

Steffen Schröder

CEO, FIBRO GmbH

Steffen Schröder has been Managing Director of FIBRO since July 2023. As a committed team player, he relies on open, trusting cooperation and actively involves his employees in decision-making processes. His management style is characterized by dialogue, equality and an entrepreneurial spirit.

He contributes his international experience and his perspective on glocalization and customer proximity to the extended Management Board of the LÄPPLE Group. He promotes the transfer of knowledge between the companies and drives cooperation forward in a targeted manner – with the aim of exploiting synergies and successfully implementing market-oriented solutions both globally and locally.

The Supervisory Board of LÄPPLE AG

In accordance with the German Co-Determination Act, the Supervisory Board of LÄPPLE AG consists of twelve members and is made up of an equal number of six employer and six employee representatives.

The tasks of the Supervisory Board include monitoring the management of the company, appointing the Management Board and approving important corporate plans and decisions.

Corporate governance declaration in accordance with §289a HGB

LÄPPLE AG is committed to equal opportunities for women and men at all levels. As part of the "Act on Equal Participation of Women and Men in Management Positions", targets have been set for the proportion of women on the Supervisory Board, the Management Board and the first and second management levels below the Management Board. The targets apply for the period up to December 31, 2029 and can be viewed in the following document.
