LAEPPLE Automotive Inc. successfully goes live with SAP S/4HANA

On May 4th, 2025, LAEPPLE Automotive Inc. completed its SAP S/4HANA go-live in Detroit. It was a seamless transition that marks a pivotal milestone in the group's journey toward unified, efficient processes across all sites.

A strong start from day one

The go-live at LAEPPLE Automotive's Detroit facility proceeded without disruptions. Production runs stably, internal and external logistics are fully operational and communication with customers and suppliers is live. In the days immediately following the transition, training sessions were held on-site to bring team members up to speed quickly, enabling staff to work confidently in the new system from the very first day.

While the first week naturally required some fine-tuning and parallel workstreams, the result speaks for itself: the system is running and the team is running with it.

Built on shared experience

A key factor in the smooth rollout was the knowledge transfer from LÄPPLE's SAP implementation in Germany, completed in January 2025. Established processes, lessons learned, and proven solutions were carried over directly to the Detroit project, allowing the team to anticipate challenges early and resolve them efficiently, long before go-live day arrived.

This cross-site collaboration proved invaluable: colleagues in Germany provided continuous remote support, while the on-site team in Detroit executed the transition with precision. Together, they demonstrated what becomes possible when preparation and partnership go hand in hand.

A milestone built by people

Behind every successful technology rollout is a team that makes it happen. At every stage – from preparation through go-live and beyond – colleagues from across departments contributed their expertise, flexibility, and commitment. Long hours, fast problem-solving, and genuine collaboration across time zones defined this project.

This go-live is more than a system change. It's the next step in building a connected, future-ready group and proof of what dedicated teams can achieve together.
