LÄPPLE AUS- und WEITERBILDUNG expands capacity in the area of retraining

LÄPPLE AUS- und WEITERBILDUNG is pleased to announce the expansion of its capacities in the areas of commercial and IT retraining. In view of the steadily increasing demand for retraining places and the urgent need for skilled workers in the Heilbronn region, the number of places available within these measures will be significantly increased.

The commercial retraining program, which began on March 1, 2019, with the first retrainees, currently has 38 places. This number will now be increased to 75 places. The IT program, which began on August 1, 2022, with six retrainees, will be expanded from the current 24 places to 45 places. The first IT retrainees will soon complete their training.
The overall placement rate for retrained specialists through LÄPPLE AUS- und WEITERBILDUNG is around 99 percent. This high rate underscores the quality of the training and the high demand for qualified specialists in the regional economy.

“The demand for places has risen sharply, particularly in the areas of commercial and IT retraining. Our expanded capacities will enable even more people to train in these sought-after professions, thereby strengthening the Heilbronn region as a business location,” says Stephan Itter, spokesperson for the Executive Board of LÄPPLE AG.

Since 2009, LÄPPLE AUS- und WEITERBILDUNG has been active as an educational institution in addition to providing training for the LÄPPLE Group and external companies, offering retraining and further education in various fields. The internal and external lecturers have a high level of expertise and practical experience. A special feature of the concept is that, similar to dual students, participants are not only trained theoretically, but also actively participate in everyday company life and are directly involved in work processes. This allows them to gain practical experience during their retraining. All measures carried out at LÄPPLE AUS- und WEITERBILDUNG are certified.

Interested parties can obtain an education voucher from the Employment Agency, the Job Center, the Pension Insurance Fund, or the Professional Association to participate in the educational institution's retraining programs. This support enables many people to pursue a new career path and adapt to the current requirements of the labor market.
To accommodate the expansion, investments are currently being made in the renovation and expansion of the premises so that they will be ready for the first start date in the expanded areas on August 1, 2024.
